I truly "didn't want to go there" as in weight but weighed myself this pm and have gained 10lbs - far far too much.

I am on salads and no bread or alcohol - hope to give you good news next week. JjCon

Jjcon. I've never looked at this thread before, so I'm sorry if this is irrelevant or inappropriate -
I have a friend wanting to lose 3 stone (minimum). She is with Weightwatchers and has lost 2 lbs on average each week. The last couple of weeks, she has changed her habits and instead of worrying about what she eats, she is eating little and often through the day (something she can continue long-term, as she doesn't feel hungry). Filling up on fruit in between. When she starts to feel full, she stops eating- she used to feel pressured to finish everything on the plate, thinking it a "waste" if she didn't.
The last two weeks, she lost 5, then 4.5lbs. That's the most she's ever lost a week in 20 plus years of dieting. I hope that helps, anyway. Good luck xx

Thank you Pixie. I am not a veggie lover nor a great lover of fruit but have bought stir fries and some fruit - didn't buy a lot of fruit as I live very close to a good supermarket and also a good greengrocer so will aim to buy the fruit every two days.

When I put my mind to it I can lose weight fairly easily.
As I said in a similar thread the other day - there's no secret to losing weight, just eat less and exercise more - easy advice to give but very hard to follow!

Good luck!
