Hello all,
Welcome to this month's Onwards & Downwards. We welcome anyone serious about losing weight and we offer support and kind thoughts - not magic fixes, just sensible help.
Yet again xstitcher has come to my recuse with ideas for a theme. So here are a few suggestions, obviously the interent is filled with all sorts of stuff so I have stuck with the diabetes.org site.
Here are some great suggestions for breakfast:

I did have a little giggle mind! I've such a shocking sense of balance i would fall off it too. But it has made me think and maybe I will have a little twist in the shower in the mornings where no one will see me? Oooh sounds slippery though!

Please be careful in the shower Maydup. It's a dangerous place. My goodness Tilly has us all whizzing about in virtual space like a bunch of tinker bells ha ha...with OG coming up in the rear with his scales under his arm and picking us all up one by one. We haven't had such fun in ages! Good night now.
well done xstitcher .I have not moved an inch but a top I have not worn for awhile went on quite easy and room to spare so I must have lost somewhere so that gives me a bit of encouragement . I came across a recipe of chicken sausages I will back track and find it and post it . It sounded quite nice .
Good for you.
I did get a reading low enough (just) to record today but as I get so many I simply refuse to believe of late that it's not easy to know where it's really gone. I think it's probably staying much the same. Of course common sense says I must have really lost and least a stone and a half over this year, but it's just not admitting any of it.

Heat a large fry pan with a layer of olive oil over a medium heat (not high as they will burn easily) Take golf ball size amounts and roll in the palms of your hands until you form a finger size sausage. Place in the heated fry pan and continue with the rolling the rest of the mix. Cook for approximately 5-8 minutes turning regularly to avoid burning.
Serve with pasta, salad, roast vegetables, mashed potato (whatever you like really).

The problem is probably as much if not more we me than the scales. Reality seems to change. I still monitor and try to stay low (weekends a recurrent issue) and feel if I tried to do more I wouldn't be trying something I could keep going after I hit goal. And yet instead of losses as in past recent years I get a roller coaster set of results and the sudden jump up about a month or so ago I've never accepted can be true. There was no accounting for it.
For sure I don't always hit the daily intake goal. It isn't the cause but hasn't been made easier ever since the older PC at work failed and the newer ones encrypt everything so my record of what I eat/drink as I go is no longer updatable as it used to be. For sure there are work arounds but of late I'm simply trying to recall what I've had and totalling up at the end of the day to find I'm, say, 10% over.
I don't think I've hidden here the fact I'm a little cheesed off about it all of late. I don't think fewer weighings would help a lot, to be honest. I suspect I need a full "drains up" on what is going on. But thanks for your concern.
Ah sausages :-) Yes it does sound pleasant. Serves one does it ?

Wendilla those sausages sound lovely and I can't see where they are unhealthy unless you are counting the oil for frying, if you used olive oil that would probably offset any health issues :-), might try them myself.
OG in the words of Dory (from finding Nemo) "just keep slimming" :-) you can do it
well done xstitcher.

I think that sometimes the TV programmes about health do more scaremongering than good and I often wonder if the producers have really done their homework well and are telling the WHOLE story or just giving us the sensational bits to make the programme more interesting. In this wonderful age of googling I have more than once caught out a so called expert giving the wrong facts and it makes me so angry.
Tilly 2 xstitcher and myself started this over 2 years ago and we have had loads of ideas of low calorie meals any one is welcome to pop in with their ideas . We are just a friendly group trying to help each other with ideas . I know if I did not keep, confessing to my sins I would certainly put back on the 2 stone I lost .
