Apparently I have neglected you, unlike my waistline which I have been enhancing with all the seasonal treats.

Anyone in freefall for the festive period? I've upped the number of long distance runs I can do, but the desire of a little nibble and a hearty dinner will probably get the best of me until boxing day.

It is such a 'downer'. Back to watching what I eat and every day up again for no apparent reason. Maybe I should just pig out on an Xmas diet all year.
I can't figure out why you go up either. You seem to have a good understanding of the do's and dont's. What about full moon effect? If it can effect sleep (mine) why not weight?
It's probably the strange 'delay' effect but yesterday I was way over the top, input-wise. Didn't mean to be, but didn't check the 'damage' until this morning. But the scales claim I 'repaired' a small part of yesterday's increase ?!

As for me, I am very annoyed. Due to a claimed 1.2 lb rise over the last 24 hours (?!) I have gone up 1.8 lbs over the week. I know Monday I overate at the pub, where I ordered a diet hostile main course, and a surprise large sharing starter was bought for us by my partner as well (I have absolutely no idea how many calories it was, millions probably) but that aside it was a fairly normal week. This is likely to take months of getting rid of, especially if it continues to rise like this. New year usually means achieving something, but I just feel it's all in vain.

My great aunt used to tie a string around her finger to remember things. I find that physically impossible.
Oh, I don't believe that your fingers are that big.
Buy a longer piece of string !
Down 1.8 lbs over the week. Back to where I was a fortnight ago. Still a way to go before getting back to pre-Xmas level.
Well that's a good start OG. You are always saying that you don't know why you go up. Do you know why you go down?
It's a good question and the answer is, most times, not really. I have "bad" days when I overeat enough to be ashamed of it; most days, when I overeat fractionally so I can just shrug and accept I should drop slower than I ideally wish to, and the odd "good" day when I don't seem to have had as many hunger pangs; but it rarely seems to fit with the weight changes.
PS tie the noose/loop first then put it over your finger.
Now I'll have to find string that matches my clothes ho hum...........

I'm down a kilo again and I'm going to try and not do any silly, mouth watering celebrating so that maybe next week I can go down to the next number on the scales. Now that would be something to celebrate.
Down a kilogram already is.

Well it could be worse. I'm just glad I reported in yesterday not today.
