Yes! That's beans and greens, no beer, glass of red wine in the evening if you must. You avoid "white carbs" such as:
Potatoes
Rice
Bread
Pasta
and:
Sugar
Fruits - except for the occasional lemon, lime, avocado or tomato
Most dairy
As someone who doesn't like to be "full" all the time, this has been a bit of a challenge. I certainly feel heavier most of the time, even if the scales say otherwise.
I only do a few days of this a week, and my cheat days often extend over a couple of days :)
But I do feel better, energy gets released throughout the day a little slower (I feel, might just be in my head) and coming off the sugar has done wonders for my snacking. Weird how you don't miss it.
We usually have some sort of bean based mean for dinner with salad and veg. It's not exciting, but it works!
