Dave bought it because he thought we didn't have enough chips
It went down the rubbish chute. Not needed on journey. I could hear him tutting at the waste of a perfectly functional item. My decision darling....

I've never had one but I now have an air fryer and it is idiot-proof. I have a habit of putting things on to cook and wandering off, this thing just switches itself off.

I got rid of mine too. I just use a saucepan.

I could not wait to chuck ours. I've got a couple of air fryers now, they cook everything that would and more x

Mine went a while since too, the only thing I occasionally hanker after deep fried is Scampi.

Doesn't taste the same done in the oven.

Rowan I did the same. Dh had to have a low residue massively high calorie diet so I used to do him any kind of tender meat in batter deep fried. He really enjoyed it but after he had gone, the deep fryer went too.

Well done, as much as you disliked it, it would have reminded you of him! I persuaded us to dump ours when we moved house 25 years ago, but we dont go without chips. I slice a couple of potatoes, spray them with an oil spray and cook them in the oven. Delicious.
