No, you get private residence relief unless: -
Your original garden was bigger than 0.5 hectares (1.25 acres)
You use part of the property for business purposes.

Kind of strange you didn't check this out beforehand with potentially so much � at stake.

Many thanks builders mate. we haven,t actually begun negotiations which was why we were checking it out before we started.
