How do start Promotion/Discount Deals with Hotels?

I want have a social club and I want to offer members special discounts for accomodatipn in Hotels and Resorts. How do I approach the managers? What is the standard process for setting up these discount deals?

There isn�t really a standard process. Make a few calls and find out who you need to speak to. I recommend this rather than a mailshot to get exclusive deals.

The trick is to think what�s in it for them and then tell them. For eg, how many members in your club that this advertises them to? Cheaper for them to offer a discount than pay for marketing to that sort of number? What sort of discount do you want and how does this differ from their off the street price?
