I need some help setting up an insurance business- does anyone know any website which can help or companies that i can contact

what kind of insurance company do you want to start?
life insurance, property, car, medical and health ? Depending on what you are doing, you will probably need a licence

I assume you mean you wish to start as an agent for insurance companies as I am guessing you do not have sufficient funds to place a bond with the authorities. If thats the case, you just need to choose who you want to represent and negotiate a deal on commision with them.

You can always contact organisations such as Business Link. they help many companies start up in business and can sometimes offer grants. There are also many useful websites such as startups.co.uk (i think that is right), and forums such as www.ukbusinessforums.co.uk. You can get all sorts of help and advice on there, and maybe even some business.

Remember, once you are up and running and have some funds for marketing, you can always spend a little on Business Gifts. There is a wide choice out there now and these little promotional products are great as customer incentives and thank you's.
