Royal Mail
Anybody know where I can find out the laws governing Royal Mail? Things like :is that old law saying it's illegal to stop the royal mail still in effect? Is one communal delivery box serving 20 flats a 'legal' delivery? Every search I do comes up with nothing! Thanks

I think you want the Postal Services Act 2000, and as I get the impression youre looking to make a complaint possibly PostComm. The Act talks about a 'universal post service'.....
It is still an offence for a postal worker to hinder the mail - whether this applies to your neighbours I dont know.
20 addresses seems a bit much, how come your mail doesnt come through your door?

Thank you for your help. The problem has arisen due to a recently installed door entry system. The 'trade' button, allowing free access, works from 8am-noon. After this time (and the postman comes around 2pm) no post or delivery people have access to our front doors so they can't even leave a 'called but you were out card'. Postman buzzes my flat everyday to access the block.Council are suggesting a communal letterbox placed by the door, all post for the flats going into this, each of us having a key, then helping ourselves to our mail from this box. I don't think this would be legal as the privacy aspect would be lost. Trying to find proof so my battle with the Council can commence!
