Can anyone tell me how a Specialised Risk Assessment differs from a General one, and also I will need to ask which of the following would require a sepcialised risk assessment:
1. Slippery floor surfaces
2. High Noise levels
3. Unclean Uniforms
5. Old PPE Equipment

My understanding of it is that a specialist risk assessment is done when the rick is not the norm.

If you take your examples 1 is an easy fix... use signs, clear up wetness etc however the flooring or location could tip it over to specialist.. 2. this is the tricky one for me as ear plugs may not do it. A specialist in noise may be needed! 3 an easy fix.. clean to the required standard however could possibly need industrial machinery such as hospital scrubs etc 4 an easy fix if you just need rubber gloves..get new equipment however if the equipment was specialist or need to be adapted then that could change things.
