I think it's fine if you know the person will have the answer or if it's about something you have already had a 'conversation' with that person about. I've done it myself today for Barmaid and got an answer from someone else. You just have to accept that others might come onto the thread and nothing is private and confidential on here.

I didn't give anybody a chance with my first question to Barmaid last week. I just did the same as Hippy Hoppy has done. Where is Barmaid anyway???? I need her.

And it was a very serious question and I knew Barmaid would be able to help 'cos of her legal experience. Too many people offer answers on legal issues that are simply guesswork!
