No help to you I know but the short answer is they debit as soon as they can and credit as late as they think they can possibly get away with. Seriously it is just figures on their database, it should be 'instantaneous' but they always have some excuse why it isn't.
IMO anything you paid in last Friday ought to be in your account now. If you are anxious to get it I think you have a good case to phone up and complain.
That said I ordered a cheque book last week and I'm still waiting for it, as are the bills that need paying. Service seems to be a thing of the past.
