Quick details...
Im a nursing student,
I receive a bursary every month that goes straight back out on my rent,
I receive a loan payment every 4 months however the last one was written off by my deposit for my house,
I can't get a job because of the un-sociable hours of my placements and Hospital bank work isn't an option as they're not taking on 1st year students,
I've applied 3 times for hardship funding from my uni, all of which have been rejected as Im not from another country(what a joke), not disabled (wouldnt be a very good nurse then would i?), and don't have any dependant children (coz why would I when im young and not married),
I can't get anymore from student loans or Bursary,
Lost my dad last year (to the day) so haven't got 'parental backing',
Can't get jobseekers seeing as I do get monthly money,
Can't get a bank account with a large overdraft due to my bad credit score...
ANY SUGGESTIONS VERY MUCH WELCOME AS IM GOING MAD WITH TRYING!!

She spent £1 at a jumble sale on some old childrens books and a pair of shoes. She put them on Ebay and made £14. She also bought bits at car boot sales and an auction house. Within a month or so she was making around £50 per week - all from an initial outlay of £1

Do you have an Easter break and a summer break? If you could find a summer job for a couple of months that should help. When I was a student my summer earnings helped me get by for the rest of the year.
You said your loan went on a deposit on a house. Does that mean you've bought a house and will no longer need to pay rent?
Unfortunately most students need either part time work (which I know is difficult in your case) or need financial support from parents. Are you considered to be dependent on your parents or are you a more mature student?

It depends on your skills etc but look at a website called www.peopleperhour.com.
I am not recommending that website at all but you will see that there is a trend for short term contracted work that you can bid for to match your skills.
I used them when I wanted a short term training resource.
If nothing else it may trigger some ideas

You can't get JSA as you are a full time student and not looking for work. Have you though about bar or waitressing work , that can often be fitted around other commitments. But as I said your big problem is paying both rent and paying for a house any one would find that hard even in full time work.
Hi everyone, thanks for your answers.
Sorry I should have been more clear, yes the deposit was for the rented accomodation with 2 other girls, its actually quite a decent price for a 3 bed split between us but my bursary amount will cover it but its having extra money for food, phone bill, car insurance, petrol etc that Im needing.
YEs I'll be hopefully be going back on a ship for easter but its just getting to easter that im worrying about... just the next few months.
I've been applying and asking for loads of jobs, bar and waitressing jobs included but keep getting told that, as its Jan, everywhere is quiet and not recruiting right now and to ask near easter (ironically)
Its all just SOO frustrating! Last term I worked 7 days a week to keep myself afloat but now im in placement its just so hard finding a job (let alone being successful in getting one!)
Thanks for all your comments thou, Il try to chase up a couple of suggestions but won't hold my breath after the run of luck im having!
