I have a couple of pensions that will increase yearly in line with CPI. I am not sure when the increase will happen.
Will they increase at the start of the new tax year i.e. now
Will they increase on my birthday date
Will thery increase on the aniversary of when I started receiving them e.g. one I didn't start claiming for until a few months after my 65th birthday and didn't get it backdated.

My works pension rises effective the 1st April each year and is CPI dependent...........I am apparently getting an extra 5.2% this year as it is based on the CPI on 30th September the preceding year.
Depends on the terms of your pension fund. I get RPI as at 30 Sept previous year on Jan pension. OH gets CPI as at same date paid on April Pension. It is not usually backdated, if I had retired after January I would have missed out until next year.
