Civil service pension
12 Answers
I used to work for the civil service and paid money into a pension scheme there many years ago. I am working in the private sector now. Who should I contact to find out about my PCSPS (as it was) contributions and the status of my money now? I don't want to lose that money I paid in. Thanks.

I remember reading somewhere that the civil service schemes used to be non-contributory (I know many aren't now), so with bond saying it was many years ago I wondered if it was non-contributory and whether for older schemes benefits weren't paid if you left before retirement age- or maybe that was only if you were dismissed under certain circumstances. Clearly if she/he contributed it seems right he/she should be entitled to a pension.
