Can anyone reccommend a program to take over from Microsoft Money. This has not been updated since 2001 as far as I can tell and I am unable to back up to cd with it. Have tried to download Moneydance but it wont download. Is Quicken similar?

You can back up using a usb key. It works ok for me.

MS Money works for me too on Windows 7. I also back it up to a USB Memory Stick.

The latest version of Money is 2005, and it can be configured to back up to USB key. It's been discontinued since January 2011, IIRC...
