i want to invest in several stocks/shares isas for apr 13 tax year - my problem is that that the market is very high at the moment -is this really not a good time to invest and better to wait when the mkt drops?

Waiting for prices to fall can be dangerous. At what point would you buy? You never know when the bottom has been reached. You may buy and then the stock market falls further by a large amount.
If you can't afford to lose a fair bit, or feel nervous, maybe the market isn't for you.

Looking at the graph for the past 5 years we may be due for a slight dip, but who knows. A few good results and away it goes again.

funds are managed by funds managers. they have varying objectives balanced between growth and risk according to what you want.
