i don't have any personal experience but mr money saving expert man was on the radio the other day talking about them. The company really spread your risk for you, so if you take a hit it's usually not so bad
Morning bednobs, I like the idea of nicking some of the banks would be customers also the fact that Market rate seems to be calculated at the lowest level for the borrower who is someone with a good credit record.
It is tempting, I suppose as long as I am prepared to get my fingers singed a bit it could be interesting
Certainly is an interesting development - BBC did a 5 minute segment on one such company earlier today (14 March 2013)
Already well established peer- to -peer lending companies are Zopa and The Funding Circle. and then you have such global internet based initiatives such as Kickstarter, whose most high profile development to date is their funding of the Pebble smart watch.
Just remember that you run a higher risk, and remember to do due diligence on whether the risk you are being asked to take is greater or worse than the rate of return you are being offered..... :)
