I suppose the the thing to do, as the government say, is to find the cheapest supplier, but get a fixed tariff for x amount of months. no point changing if the new supplier is going to increase prices next week.

I am with British Gas (Duel Fuel). I have checked two websites this evening, Compare the market & Money saving market to see if there is a cheaper alternative but I appear to be paying less per unit on both fuels than the quotes they gave me. The standing charge was approx 1 p different. I will now just wait and see.
Anyone switched to this 3½ year fixed tariff?

We are with E-on price fixed until April next year. However we had a phone call from British Gas promising money off and other things, they almost convinced MrAsk to swap back to them as we have Homecare cover with them, half way through the swap back to British Gas they announced the price rises, so he did a U-turn and we are back to E-on. I think it's all swings and roundabouts though.
