Tesco Loan

Applied for tesco online loan and approved. They are sending documents in post. It said they may ask for further info. What else would they want and does this mean i could still be refused?

I was going to apply for a loan thru my bank online but when i logged in it said. Based on info they hold on me to date they couldn't offer me a loan but could offer a crefit card. But i could apply for loan in branch if i took in my income details etc, surley as i bank with them they would know all this. About a year ago i had a letter from them stating i was approved for an £11k loan. Admittedly my finances were a bit better then so i didn't need a loan bsck then. I have a good credit rating no other debts spart from mortgage, but i am often in my overdraft.

Probably just a general thing covering themselves if they find out something that means they wish to back out. Doubt if it's significant to you.

Thanks for reply. I earn £25k per year, mortgage etc about £1k per month and have asked for £10k over 5 years.

Also, this is a single application as my partner has a default from a few years ago which she is paying off at an agreed amount, apart from that her credit file is good, no missed payments on loans or credit cards, including mortgage. I presume we are now financially linked so would her default have any impact on me for applying for credit?

I am afraid your partners default could prevent you obtaining credit. It depends how much it was and when in occurred. All lenders have different criteria, however some won't lend to people who have financial links with those who have defaulted.

Got the paperwork today they dont need any further info just said to check and sign and if nothing has changed when they receive it back,money will be in bank witbin 3-5 days
