We rent a property that is join end to a business property so it one house with a shop at the front and the rest of the property we rent.with the water bills the landlord receives them and it is on a meter the landlord divides the bill 3/4 to us 1/4 to the shop as we have the bigger premises the thing is we do not see the bill we accept what the landlord asks for.we only moved in 6 months ago and we're not told by the agent any of this it's only while I was trying to set up payment with the water company I found out that it was a meter shared with the shop.i spoke to the agent and they said I have to accept this but I would like to see a bill.have I a right to see a bill or not?

I would certainly want to see it - the landlord ought to give you a copy as evidence of what he's charging you. Is this just for incoming water, or for the sewage etc as well? (we get 2 separate bills here for those, and the foul water bill is based on our metered usage of incoming water)

The landlord puts them together .what I'm annoyed about is we were not told that it was joined with a business and the agent said the landlord sends him the bill and then the agent splits it and sends it to us and the shop.
