Credit .agreement Cancellation

hi my uncle who is 86. bought a mobility scooter in sept 14 on credit .he is now in need.. of 24 hr care and nursing so therefor is unable to use mobility scooter the credit is over 2years I would like to know what are my options .if I try and cancel the agreement the cheapest way for my uncle. he cant afford to pay it off.and he cant afford to keep it as he has to pay for nursing .care. any suggestions would be appreciated.ps I don't know how people can give.credit to an 85yr old with no assets . .

You could try coming to some arrangement with the place he bought it from or, as a last resort, just stop paying. The credit company will repossess it and give him a black mark on his credit rating - in his condition that's not going to worry him.
Thank you all for your help as you suggest stop paying and let them reposses seems like the best and cheapest option as his pension money will have to go toward his care home expenses. He can't sell it as it does not belong to him as you rightly pointed out.mobility shop which sold him the scooter did not want to help when I asked for options to sort this out.they said they have never dealt with anyone who tried to cancel an agreement.so much for customer care for the elderly. They were quick to sell him the scooter but not to helpfull to resolve his problem.
