Jackdaw33 I think your not far wrong. I don't think many people actually use it to pay for fuel. I know a few who use it to buy their christmas presents.
My heating/water costs are included in my annual rent which I have to pay regardless, so this actually does come as a bonus. Mind you, the £10 extra bonus is taking the proverbial. When first introduced it was equivalent to an extra week's pension.
I am grateful for it very much. Isn't the £10 extra dispensed with now. What was it you only got it if the temperature went high. Sorry, was that right.
