I am about to receive �30,000 in divorce settlement which is my share of the a business which is going to continue. What tax will I have to pay on this?

Zero, It's your money already, even this governement isn't taxing divorce settlements!....... yet!
You may be liable for dividend tax if you were a director and this money came from the sale / transfer of shares in the business.

The Government do not 'tax divorces' but DO tax dividends and business sales / transfers.

See an Independant IFA for proper clarity as my 'advice' is based on very limited info about your situation.
