change of address on bank account

if i change my address on bank acount, do i need to provide documentation of my new address, because i am staying with friends.

I don't think so. When I moved I simply phoned them and told them to change it, that was with the Woolwich. Just give your bank a ring and they will soon tell you.

No you definately don't.

It will probably depend on your bank, my bank wouldn't do it for me over the phone (even though they knew me well as I used to work there) but I had to write to them to inform them of my new address
