Has anyone on this site ever used this service. I am considering calling them to help out with my financial situation. I was just wondering if anyone has used them and whether they offered good advice. I'll be honest I am a bit scared to call them. I have filled in the online questionaire which now advises me to call the 0800 number. Any feedback most welcome. Thanks

Hi tommo
Yes I have used this service. I filled in the online questionnaire and had to call them as there was a query about some of my expenditure. It was a simple matter and was all cleared up very quickly and they have worked out a repayment schedule for me, contacted all my creditors and have always answered any questions quickly. I was in pretty dire straits financially and it is a relief to get some sort of repayment system sorted even though at the current rate it will take time to pay everything off.
They are helpful - please don't be tempted to go to one of these who take a percentage of your repayments.
Good luck

How long are your repayments going on for is it longer than the 5 years ?
We are in dire straights and havea freind who is coming to the end of her arrangement with Financial Helpline (now called Tenon Dept Solutions see my own post) and are thinking of using them but havent sighned nothing yet and might try CCCC.Why did you say not to use ones that charge? Im so confused i rang Dept Free thingy off the telly but when they came back to me they said i had to pay 800 a month (im paying 1000) now so couldent see they was much help. The F Help line say my repaymments will be around 470 which obviously would be more managable they told me to open a new account but wont they chuck me out when they find out ive got an IVA? Help
My payments will last longer than 5 years unless my financial situation changes radically. I admit that it would have taken less time for me if I had either taken an IVA or declared bankruptcy but I'm very old fashioned and felt that it was my problem and that I ought to make some effort to pay off the debts. This is not the best way for everyone I know and I may have to re-think at some point. The CCCS worked out what they felt I could afford to pay them then made offers to my creditors so for the moment I can at least afford to live. You have to decide what is best for your circumstances but I would say contact them and see what they suggest for you. It costs nothing.

Thanks will give it ago tomorrow
Hi.

The reason not to go with a fee charging company is why pay a % to them when CCCS will pass on all of your payments to your creditors thus reducing your repayment term.
