i am currently awaiting a automatic cash transfer from my endowment policy for �15,000 which due to the postal strike hasn`t happened yet ,despite the fact i posted all the relavant documents four weeks ago.
the problem is i`m taking delivery of a new car on saturday and i need to lay my hands on �6500.i have a credit card but my problem is if i pay for it the interest will be extortionate.anyone got any ideas how i can work a way round this problem...

If you pay by credit card you shouldn't be charged any interest provided you pay the credit card bill by the due date. The bill shouldn't be due for 4-6 weeks, by which time your endowment money should have come through.
Just to add, make sure that you do mean PAY by credit card, not get the money out on it, cos then you will have interest from day 1.
