my nephew appplied to halifax at the beginning of the year to reclaim bank charges having previoulsy succesfully claimed them from else where but he had a letter back from halifax saying they were waiting for some test cases to go to court before making any more refunds - does anyone know if these cases have yet taken place and if so what was the outcome - should he re-apply to halifax now or wait? Thank you

The court cases are due to be heard in January/ February.

If the banks lose your son can send a letter reminding them of his claim.

Oh ok so thats not so long to wait then and I guess if they do lose it will be all over the papers so we will know about it. Thanks for your prompt response
I would be very careful as the Halifax have a habit of closing the accounts of people who claim twice.
