Hello, I've decided to start 2008 by taking my head out of the sand and dealing with my debt. Does anyone know whether a IVA will also deal with unpaid Inland Revenue debt and (fines)?

Thank you for any advice.

Tax debts yes; magistrates fines no. See here:

However, whether Inland Revenue would vote in favour of an IVA depends very much on the circumstances - in some cases they seem to favour people being bankrupted.

Thanks T.
Go and have a look at http://www.moneysavingexpert.com before you get involved in an IVA - there may be a better way.
Good luck.
even if the revenue did not agree only 75% of your creditors have to agree to accept the iva. and they could do nothing about it.
