Further to the good clear out, now have a biscuit tin full of pre decimal coins from 2/6 to tiddlers. Anyone any ideas for their free disposal? It's a sad life when you have a mini ,mini fortune and can't use it. But that's life I suppose. Many thanks .

Any pre 1947 silver coins are worth about 10 times their face value because of the high silver content.

If it's just odds and ends you have, I'd sell them on Ebay.

You could also make up a complete set of pre decimal coins and give them to a local primary school.

Thank you both so much, now going to the corner shop for the sauce and will make up two sets for the primary schools we have in the village.

Rest will feature on e-bay.
your local museum may like a set too perhaps?
