Depends on who owns the house.
From a land registry point of view, it is relatively simple, although you may need a conveyancing solicitor. I think it's a TR1 form which you need to change the registered owner.
If you have a mortgage, check your terms and conditions as I would expect that they would want to know, and probably would want her either added to teh mortgage, or sign something to make sure she will make no claim in the event of them reposessing the house.
why would u want to if she isnt contributing, as then she can take half of ur house if she leaves

sorry to be negative, happend to a mate of mine

she can take half anyway just decided everything is to be shared inc bank accounts, she also paid for half long enough.
I can see no advantage to either of you. If you have a mortgage you need the mortgagor's agreement and your girlfriend will have to become a mortgagee - which means she takes on the commitment. But as you say - she would probably be entitled to up to half the house should you part, anyway.
Just make sure you are fully insured to cover the mortgage in the event of your untimely death, and make a will. Then she will have no problems should the worst happen.
Unlikely while your gf has no employment income. If you are not married, it wouldn't be a good idea anyway. You say she has paid half long enough, (how long, is long enough). If you remain unmarried and it came to a split there is no guarantee she would get half, it would be necessary to provide proof of her contributions, and she would receive a proportion based on her contributions. Likewise with bank accounts, joint is not such a good idea even if you were married. Your gf or wife would then be in the position of being able to withdraw whatever she wished, or have to ask you to agree to the amounts she wished to withdraw. Some serious thinking is needed here. Good luck.
If your girfriend is unable to get another job, think about an end scenario where you also lost your job too and couldn't meet the mortgage repayments and support her financially and she was declared bankrupt. Would you still be happy that you'd added her name to the mortgage so that your house could be pursued through the bankruptcy court? The mortgage lender might not be prepared to add her name anyway as she currently has no income. Much more sensible to leave the project on ice until she's back working again and has a secure income.
