I have a joint mortgage with my wife, she as always paid the mortgage. What i would like to know could i take my name off the title deeds, and still remain on the mortgage?

An example: both names on mortgage, her name only on Registered Title. You split up and wife leaves home. The mortgage isn't paid by either of you. The bank would be unable to repossess as you would be, in effect, a sitting tenant.
