My daughter has 2 part time jobs and has just been told her hours will be reduced and she will then be under the hours to get working tax credits. I need help at home now due to ill health, and I wondered if I employed her to help me and paid her, the hours would count for WTC. Also would I be liable for working out tax, National Insurance, etc. ?

Thanks for these answers. Don't think I would qualify for a carer. I'll have to think of another way to help.
