If the Eurozone and the Euro is in such a mess, then why is the Euro so strong against the UK Pound?
Do the markets know something that we don't e.g that the UK economy is not so strong and regulated as the Politicians would have us believe?

I can understand that link just about but will France and Germany be able to keep propping up the euro as it states in the link or is it about to go altogether?I live in Ireland and people are starting to talk about its collaspse and how bad it would be for us not sure if this is based on anything or just scaremongering.
trionam...that is the 60$ question and bobbie put an interesting thread on CB about just that situation, but it was hijacked by a load of "numpties"
I cant answer that question and neither can the Politicians, but after a decade or more of setting up , the euro will not be allowed to "die" without a fight.

I think that what is more likely to happen is that certain countries may, possibly, go back to thier own currencies, however it should be remembered that the euro was part of a much larger United states of Europe policy and that was also part of us trading to each other.
