Insurance payouts

If one had been off sick from work for about 12 weeks following an industrial injury, would the payment protection insurance on credit cards, loans, etc still pay out even if one is receiving sickpay from their employer ?

One way to find out for sure - read the very small print on your statements. If you don't have it, ring up and be someone off the cuff and ask them the question. It probably varies from lender to lender.
