£3000 to bank,wheres best?

just been paid some ppi back,i bank with natwest and they want me to put it in their isa account,i will prob need some next year so want to be able to withdraw but never looked at banking anywhere else,does anyone know any other accounts or i could financially gain on banking it?
(as oppose to stuffing it all under my bed!)

tbh £3000 put anywhere for less than a year is going to not get much interest

as ive never had that money to sit in my bank,i thought maybe it wouldn't bring much interest in as i will be dipping in it,just dont like idea of it sat in my current account with hackers and stuff..

I use my Tesco savings account to top up my Santander current account when needed. It sits there getting some interest, but when I need it I just do an online transfer from one to the other...........

have you got a credit union locally - my mum put some money in there as wanted to be able to get at it whenever she needed it. got 3% on it last year and 3.25% the year before.

Have you got premium bonds. It would be a little less accessible to just dip into, although they will rapidly let you have the money back when you request it. You may win something!

Interest is Jack at the mo, shove it into premium bonds you'll make more and you have a chance of a big prize too.

I'd probably go with Premium bonds as they are readily available but you must buy them this month for them to go into February's draw - you have to have to have a full calendar month before they are eligible.
