I pay my bills by DD, and my wages go into my bank .........The way things are now I want banks holding my money!

Don't be so hysterical- the banks really won't be allowed to fall and as Chris said you have a guarantee your money's safe unless you're talking about millions.

I think you will be hard pushed to get your employers to pay your wages directly into your hand....
I suppose she could withdraw the surplus after the DD's have gone out.

Depends how much money it is though.

What a daft idea, where are you going to stash it (under the mattress?) if someone gets wind of you having all that cash indoors you'll probably get a break in and they'll nick the lot.
Leave it where it is its much safer & easier.
