Amusement Arcades. the tax dodgers heaven?

I was told a long time ago that Inland Revenue actually own and run a few amusement arcades so that they have some idea of what goes on financially. Im not sure if this is likely?

I could understand why they would, it is one of the very few businesses that trade almost exclusively in cash customers without being obligated to give invoices or receipts.

It appears to very open to abuse of taxes.

What do you reckon?

The Inland Revenue do not own amusement arcades.

I could understand why they would be very interested in them though from a money laundering point of view. I'm sure they are high priority for investigation.

They are hardly unique though, lots of businesses trade in cash without obligation to provide invoices or receipts. Football and other sports clubs, fast food outlets, sandwich shops, pubs and clubs to name but a few would all be in the same category. Any high cash turnover business is likely to interest the Revenue to a fair extent.
