House deeds that are joint
My mother and I are in a joint house deed and she is dying right now. I just want to be sure that when she goes that I receive the house in full and that her share would not be able to be split up for sale

It is only how the property is Registered at the Land Registry which counts. If you and your mother alone are Registered in a Joint Tenancy then the property will automatically pass to you. If you are Registered in a Tenancy in Common then your mother's share will pass as her will or the rules of intestacy and the property may have to be sold so that everyone can have their inheritance. If your mother is Registered as the Sole Proprietor this last situation also applies. To see how the property is Registered click here and follow the instructions. You need only to see the Register.
