do you trust your bank

Have recently had bad experience with mine.took out prepaid credit card.only drtawback fees but excellent service.just how bad is your bank?

I find the staff in my bank have become sales people all of a sudden.
Instead of "How can I help you?" It is "Let me tell you what we can offer you".#
As if they are doing me a massive favour, but I always find with forced sales there is a catch or an advantage/bonus to those offering the deal? Should I be sceptical in the bank like this???

I dislike that approach too, jd- if I want something when I go in a bank I'll ask for it.
It's not just banks- I can't pay for petrol now at my petrol station without having to turn down the offer of three packs of something for the price of two.

the counter staff MUST make those sale offers. The ones I know don't like doing it either. Happily locally at least the tide seems to be turning. We recently had a new pushy young sell sell sell manager at our local branch and he only lasted a month before being replaced by a much lower key bloke.
I trust my bank to take care of the money i have in it which is well below the protected amount. I don't take investment advice from them and have recently moved my home and contents insurance to a better deal. I do most of my day to day stuff online.

I have two hours and thirty minutes of recordings of conversations with my bank, spanning a two month period. Each conversation ends with their assurance that I will have no more problems.
