Tracesmart.....does this sound dodgy?
6 Answers
I have a pension with a company that I left 17 years ago but I have always made sure they know my current address etc. My last contact with them was in mid 2010. This week I get a letter out of the blue from Tracesmart, it looked official and even had the logo of the company I worked for on the page too. They claim the company I worked for has lost contact and are trying to trace me. I find that hard to believe as I have correspondence from them from less than 2 years ago and I have not moved in the interim. They are asking for current and previous addresses, phone number and some digits of my NI number. Has anyone had any experience with this? I will be contacting the company I worked for direct but I wondered if this is just me being over cautious or is there some sort if obscure scam taking place here? any info would be welcome, thanks

If in doubt, I might be inclined to contact your ex-employer and ask them if they are using tracesmart.
