Starmer In Jobs Push.....right Oh!
News1 min ago
Basically to cut a long story short, on the 21st June.. 3 separate payments were taken out of my account, all at the same time: 12.49, 12.49 and 329.98.
I know nothing about these payments, they ain't been made by me. i've contacted the bank (HSBC) and told them, they've cancelled my card, and said they're to do an investigtion. Now, the 2 payments of 12.49, have come from a website called dvdplus.co.uk, i've never even seen this website before. Should i contact the site, and ask them kind of questions like "what address has the items been posted to?" or would this be interfereing with the banks investigation?
Please can someone advise me as to what to do??
Thanks

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I would leave it to your bank. Also report it to the police as it is fraud and usually your bank will need a crime number anyway.
Even if you phone the website in question, it is doubtful they would give you any info but if you give all the details to your bank/the police, they should do this anyway.
Have you lost your card or had it stolen or is it still in your possession and therefore has probably been cloned?
If i were u (and i have been in that situation before but it was some1 walkin round with my credit card and raked up over 2 grand on it!!!!!) i would do as much investigating as possible about who is purchising with ur card and were the address is ect. the police are useless and dont care. i just hope ur bank pays it back for u as mine did. its a horrible situation to be but i went all 'detective' and caught the bitch who had my card, she is now servin time!!! ha
I see the dvdplus website has an option to send goods to the card holders address or an alternative address. This type of situation facilitates fraud.
Do not hold back from contacting DVDplus. Too many companies hide behind the Data Protection Act to protect self failure. Contact them immediately and advise their response to the police and your credit card company who should be reversing the debits by now. If they have not reversed these entries ask them why not and report to the police.
