I have emigrated to NZ and filled out P85 got my tax back. I am now looking to purchase a commercial van from uk to bring to NZ will I need to pay the VAT. Thanks

I am not the expert, but I think it's the same - you have to pay it, then claim it back.

You could also be liable for 15% GST on the van's value when landing in NZ.
