Is there an official site where one can check for information regarding the state pension entitlement ( s) for someone ( female ) who may or may not have paid enough national insurance contributions , on retirement ; and what can be done to remedy the situation ?

I'm looking more from the point of how one can find out what has been paid by an individual , what years are missing and what they would need to pay to make up for those missing years contributions , in order to bring themselves up to current present requirements .
i.e the person is not sure of what they have paid and for what years ( if you see what i mean )

If the lady won't have any other income (such a private pension) after reaching the state pension age there's probably no point in her seeking to top up her state pension.
Irrespective of whether she gets the full pension of £110.15 per week (at current figures), or a much lower figure, her actual income will be lifted up to a minimum of £145.40 per week anyway through Pension Credit:
