Shares in a company named Veos

Dealing with my mother's estate; I have come across a share certificate for a company called Veos (VEO). They are not listed in any stock/share price list I can find, and a search of the Internet gives info dated no later than 2002.

What happened to this company; does it still exist and more importantly are the shares worth anything?
