I paid 1200 for a plasma TV from Tiny in May of this year. I paid on my Egg credit card,on line, direct to Tiny. They kept phoning me up saying there was a delay. Of course, they have now gone into liquidation and my money has liquidated with them! Am I insured through my Egg Card? Is it a case of the more noise I create, the more chance I have of being refunded by them? (Egg)

Hello.

Under the Sale of Goods Act (1979) your credit card company is obliged to return your money if the goods cost more than 100.If you have any problems , contact your local trading standards department. You are in a much better position than someone who has paid by cheque, debit card or cash! Good luck.

does that not depend on added purchase protection?
No ICEMANSAV. It is there in Section 75 of the Act. The so called "joint liability" provision.
