Just bought a new pc. I've been using MS Money, but my version is not compatible with windows XP.
Is ther an alternative to MS Money - preferably free! but perhaps something cheaper than money?

I'd try installing MS Money as normal, right click on any shortcut to "Money" that appears on your desktop (or wherever it goes) and choose properties, then the "compatibility" tab.
This lets you run programs in compatibility mode for Win 95, 98, 2000 etc.

Tried that with no luck. The compatability only goes to Win 2000 and I have XP. Might have to splash out and buy it.
Open Office gets a lot of nice things said about it in the Guardian's computing pages. Not tried it myself, but it is free and is a compatible alternative to Microsofts Office Suite -- see http://www.openoffice.org

open office doesn't have anything similar to MS Money. I've jsut bought myself a new version, so i can continue to dowload my bank statements etc.
