Warning. If you arrive in another country with a lot of money, the authorities of that country may try to tax it as your income. If the money gets there before you do ( via a bank, say) there is less chance it may be treated as your income and thus become liable for tax. Depends which country, & how much money.
Diesel, please think again, stay near your daughter and wait for things to settle down
Snags he is wanting to take money out not in!
DD why take cash out? Just leave it in a UK bank and access it from abroad via a debit card or online transfer?
Get a specialised money belt with many pockets and strap them to the arms, leg and body. I'm sick and tired of governments taxing everyone without reason just for having their hard earned money on them which I know believe to be "Legal Robbery" as they take it off you then fine you around $2000 to get it back and they do this daily and to multiple people all day, every day as seen on "Nothing to declare Australia"
$10k into the States. It depends where you go but why do you want to leave?

EDDIE, did you actually look at the link I posted?

''Take cash in and out of the UK: you must declare €10,000 (or the equivalent in another currency) or more in cash if you take it between the UK and any non-European Union (EU) country''.
No limit for one EU state to another. Euro10,000 or the equivalent to a non EU country

This says 'into Uk' but it applies to taking cash out as well. You can take any amount on a 'Card' only cash has a limit.
Sigh...
Please Diesel, I've read your other post, don't do anything rash.
No point fleeing from this, Diesel. Your daughter needs you.....believe me, been there, done that. Okay to take a week or so to think and reflect, that's different but be in contact with her, think how she is feeling about not seeing her Dad.....
Sorry snags I looked for' take out' cash. Didn't look at the link until it came up on screen when i saw it said ' into uk'

Do an international credit transfer to another bank £100,000 isn't a problem (in installments), how much did you have in mind?
big breaths....a good nights sleep and rethink....running away from a situation does not make it go away...make plans and a timetable of what and when to do things in order to extracate yourself in a constructive manner that will not adversley affect your relationship with your daughter...there is light at the end....do not throw yourself into a spiral of events that will make things worse...good luck..we are here to listen if and when you want ...xx
If you try taking it out as cash you may be suspected of money laundering.
Wholeheartedly agree with murraymints post above.
Please take time to think and know people are here x
We shouldn't be told what to think, what to do and where to spend our money! They are the government and nothing more and nothing less and not the thought control police!
DD you do not have a good track record with customs and excise , remember this?
