what are you entitled to when you reach the age of 60, ie bus pass, ect.?

To march to the front of any bus queue and tell people what age you are and tag on "you know" to said age quotation.

Free medical prescriptions.  Free eyesight tests.  A �200 Winter Fuel Allowance (if you're the sole occupier of your property.)  If there are two occupants you get �100 each.  Reduced cost rail fares at off peak times (but I think you have to buy a rail card, so it's not free).

So there are a few benefits of growing older!

And I forgot to add that often you can also get concessionary rates with barbers and hairdressers on certain days.

Also lower entrance fees for some tourist attractions and entertainment such as concerts, etc.  And I believe the National Trust charge a lower subscription.

And you're still alive for another five years, at 65 the Inland Revenue will increase your personal allowance by a miserly amount (which will be negated if your income is above a certain level.
