Creating An Account Number

Can anyone help before I go mad please . I am trying to create an account with scottish power . It says log in your account number which is 11 digits , I have and it keeps coming up your account number is 11 digits which I have already put .

Try signing out .. then sign in again and try again !

I'm not familiar with Scottish Power account numbers but, are spaces involved? If so, omit them.

If you are definitely faithfully copying your account number from a recent bill,then you may need to call them to ask what the issue is.

I sometimes type letter 'o' instead of '0' zero,but then I'm daft.

Some systems automatically suspend an account after three or so failed login attempts. I suggest you phone them - or better still, look for a 'call me back' option on their website. Best of luck with that company, we left them.

i have Scottish Power it is just a straight 11 number account - is there any chance, and I apologise if this sounds stupid, that its inserting a space at the beginning before you start typing your number in.

Thank you. I tried omitting the spaces and it worked . then they told me I had already signed in which I hadn't and asked for email address and password . I never had a password with them so said I couldn't remember it , another one coming on email . Obviously they are as bad here as with accounts.

I've never had a problem with logging into Scottish Power. I hope the new [password works- it probably will. You'll need to make sure the system doesn't remember your old password- clear the cache if that's the case.
